Technical description of anti-stuttering device Stutter Stop:

The device looks like a mp3-player, that is connected with a microphone and headphones (the accessories from mobile phones). The weight of the newest and smallest model of this device is just 38 grams. It was designed specifically in this way to prevent any possible discomfort while in use. At first glance this device looks like a trendy player. The device requires a charge that is similar to a cellphone. Time of charging – 2-3 hours . Operating time after a full charge is 60 hours. When the battery is low, the ''low charge" indicator will light up. After this light-warning the device "StutterStop" will work for 15-20 min before a complete stop.

One can carry the device "StutterStop" in the pocket of one's shirt, jeans, trousers or around the neck, the same way as one wears a mobile phone on a chain.

Metronome in StutterStop

In the device there is a special embedded function - the METRONOME.*

This function is for synchronization of the speech. Some techniques of treatment of stutter use rythmisation by means of gesture of a hand or with a metronome. One will hear clicks of a metronome in the headphones. Frequency of following clicks as well as volume can be adjusted according to one's needs. Duplication of clicks occur with a signal of a light on the device. If required, one can also combine clicks of a metronome with a delay of an acoustic signal.

Since October 2006 a new improved version of anti-stuttering "StutterStop" was available, and here it is – in the picture below. The main advantages of this device –
